The amazing Grace Hopper Conference

Until yesterday I used to think that to feel motivated, we don’t require an inspirational environment. But, today after attending the Grace Hopper Conference (at George Bush Convention Centre, Downtown, Houston), I realized that I was totally wrong. I was amazed to see thousands of women in Technology at one place each trying to make an impact on one another.

There have been Women Developers from almost all big Software Companies [Google, Facebook, Amazon, eBay, Intel etc are just a few among them] across the North America. There were inspirational speeches, stalls, coding contests, research discussions, on the spot interviews, food, and fancy goodies [yes, we all love them as they are always fun to collect]. I was little disappointed that I attended only the last day of the 3-day conference. But, I feel fortunate enough at least to know about such a great event.

That’s it. I have decided that from now onwards, wherever the conference may take place, I would definitely visit the place and would try to feel motivated to the core. Every single person I met there was super confident, helpful and fun loving. Next time it’s going to be in Orlando, Florida. I’m excited to be there in 2017.

I’m very thankful to Anita Borg Institute for taking such a great initiative to start the GHC conferences.
